LOOK AT ALL THE MONEYS
This is what bothers me about candidates like Santorum, who is not viable in the long run and turns any campaign momentum into increasingly polarizing views on social issues. People pay attention to him because he’s easy to hate. It’s fun to hate on politicians. That’s common knowledge, duh. Remember when Rick Perry made an asshole out of himself early on in the debates? Then he drops out and suddenly Santorum emerges as the candidate we (sane people) all love to hate. Palin was this candidate in ‘08. It bothers me because voters should be focused on the policies of candidates LOOKING TO DRAG AMERICA OUT OF TRILLION DOLLAR DEBT WITHOUT CUTTING FUNDING TO EDUCATION OR HEALTH CARE, not the petty social politics all televised news outlets shove down our throats on any day. I’m not saying everyone should care about the same issues as I do, but I do think that people should start voting based on who they want elected, not who they DON’T want elected.
Although it pales in comparison to the Catholic Church, the Mormon Church, a tax-exempt organization, was worth more than 30 BILLION DOLLARS FIFTEEN YEARS AGO. Pepsico isn’t owned outright, but the LDS church holds a very large percentage of shares in the publicly shared and controlled company. Mormons are really fucking rich, okay? AND PEOPLE ARE STARVING. EVERY DAY. RIGHT HERE. IN AMERICA, where you can make billions by exploiting your religion, but still starve to death after praying to God.
